Hi,
I've created several Annotation sets but now I'd like to reorder them in the list view. I can reorder them in the Tree View but can't do it in the List View. Any ideas?
I'm running Creo View MCAD 3.0 m031
Thanks

We are a big company and have a lot of collaboration on DFM occurring on tools outside of Windchill. Our partners use numerous tools to provide DFM feedback. If CREO VIew is to truly be a collaboration platform. Can you please add the ability to import DFM "Sharelists" to CREO View? We need a common format to exchange mark ups? X,Y,Z location of the issue and some text. Perhaps some other common items, Name of Originator, Date stamp, Net or components impacted.
In addition to the mark up collaboration, Creo View can act as the common repository for this feedback across the many designs and teams. We can find common issues. Feedback trends from users, by area, by vendor, etc.
We would like to see this in the PTC Creo View roadmap. First step is to get other users to respond to this discussion positively. If you agree with this. Please respond.
I'm not entirely sure what to accurately call these, so I haven't had much luck in finding help creating such. At the moment, I'm working to take 2D AutoCAD drawings and turning them into 3D Creo Parametric 2.0 models as well as to recreate the drawings in Creo. In particular, I'm floundering on how to make more complex section views display in my drawings.
Attached is a simplified ref of the original AutoCAD views I'm trying to replicate. I can cut it like the model via an actual extrude but I can't figure out how to get a view looking flat at both cut faces at once. I've also tried to create a xsec with two datum planes in the model itself to then put on the drawing as a 3D cross section, but at that point the view doesn't display the two cutting planes as flat, instead displaying the angled side as coming out of the page and as such a portion of the outer surface is displayed and any attempt to dimension on the view is rendered skewed and worthless.
As an additional little question, where's the option to exclude a part from showing as cut in a cross section of an assembly drawing? With cutting a cylinder I'd like to leave the piston rod fully displayed but cut through all other components.
Any pointers into the right direction for what I'm overlooking would be much appreciated.
Creo View Drawing Compare.. seems like we took something that should be easy and made it very hard. Why can't I find the drawing I want to compare two seperate revisions or iterations of that I find on the details page with the history tab, select the two objects and choose open in CREO VIEW. Then In Creo View I should be able to do something as easy as select the two and pick a compare action.
What is the deal with adding to clipboard "and you cannot add them both from the history tab, it claims it adds them but it dosn't". You have to go to each of the objects detail page in order to have the drawings show up on the clip board. Now you have to go to the clipboard and select both objects and choose to open in Creo view.
Once you get the objects in Creo.. not very intuitive regarding the compare option or getting the overlay of the two drawings....
Does anyone know how to force Creo View to use Document Mode 8 with Internet Explorer 11? We are running Windchill 10.1 M050, Creo Parametric 2.0 M140 and Creo View 3.0 M030. According to the PTC literature, all of these versions should be compatible with IE 11. We had to force Windchill to load in Document Mode 8 in order to get it to work. We are having an issue with Creo View, however, where it will not load CAD drawing or other images because its default IE document mode is 5. When using F12 to go to developer mode, we can manually change the document mode to 8 and then the image loads properly; however, as soon as a new Creo View session is loaded, the document mode defaults back to 5 and won't work again.
Any ideas how to force Creo View to always use document mode 8 with IE 11?
Hallo,
anyone knows how to measure the volume of a model in Creo View?? in the measurements summary I do not see the volume icon like in Creo Parametric, and it seems strange to me to not have such a fundamental tool...
thanks

Where can I find any documentation of how to configure and use the Creo View Express as a plugin in a webbrowser like Firefox.
So far I'm doing a
<embed height="100%" width="100%" name="plugin" src="nvidia-demo.pvz" type="application/x-pvlite9-ed">
It is displayed correctly but I want to disable the toolbar, for example.
Furthermore I need access to the JavaScript API to be able to communicate with the plugin.
I'm using Creo View Express, Version Creo 2.0, Datecode F000 build 23.
Thanks a lot for your help.
Thomas

Does anyone know how the Preset Explode works in Creo View Express?
Is it supposed to be able to show user defined exploded views from Creo or Pro\E that you define in the View Manager?
Will this work for Native Creo files (*.asm)?
Will ths work for Creo View formats (*.ed, *.edz, *.pvs, *.pvz)?
Is there a setting so that I can control the attachment and placement of balloons when they are created? In the past, and I've been a user since '97, when a balloon was placed, you controlled both. Now I have to create the baloon, move the balloon, move the attachment.
I use 3d views in a variety of orientations, and the cleanup tools do not help, and they don't help with the attachments.
This means a single baloon takes about 12 click, and I have assemblies with over a hundred parts. You do the math.
Is there a setting that gives me back control of the balloon process?
I'm using Wildfire 3.0 and Creo 2.0 on same PC
but there is a display problem only Creo 2.0 like below images
and I have tried to change config and graphic options.
please let me know how to solve the problem.
thank you

Hi Everyone,
I'm having problems with some of our stations (mostly laptops with onboard intel graphics) which are working with Creo View 2.0. The program is able to open and view models and drawings but when the user selects print the image prints as a solid black page. This is repeatable accross all printers and even print to PDF converters. Has anyone seen this before and is there a known fix?
Thanks
Dave
So I've gone through and have set up my test system and the properties on it to republish out of date items. So I changed a component that is used in an assembly. The assembly doesn't start republishing. doesn't watermark the picture on the Details page and does not even register or show up when you Schedule a job to RepublishAllOutOfDateRepresentations. I am on Windchill M030-CPS09 with the latest adapters which are M032. Anyone have any ideas of how to get this to work?
Hi All
I am experiencing an issue with Creo View 1.0 Lite and hope you can help me find a solution.
When I click on a link to open a file from Windchill, the Internet Explorer starts Creo Viewer as expected.
But the Creo Viewer does not show the pdf-file.
The pdf-file is opened by Adobe Reader while Creo Viewer presents me with the error-message:
"Failed to load the file. Check the Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader Installation."
How do I configure Creo Viewer to show the pdf and not try to use Adobe Reader?
Hello,
I would like to modify the display of the model tab. in CreoView -> Screenshot in attachment.
In fact I would like to add 2 parameters in the same line.
In order to do it, I need concerned parameter I want to add in this line. So, I have it!
I'm able to add one parameter. But I'm not able to add 2 parameters.
So, I modified "admin_prefs.xml" like that to have at least 1 active parameter.
"category name="Navigation">
<preference name="enable_preselection_highlighting" value="False"/> <!-- Désactive la présélection -->
<preference name="navigation_model" value="pro/engineer" locked="true"/> <!-- Choix du type de navigation -->
<preference name="alt_part_name_enable" value="True"/> <!-- Modification de l'arbre modèle: position + code article -->
<preference name="AltProp2Group" value="__treeFilterPartName"/>
<preference name="AltProp1Group" value="PROE Component Parameters"/>
<preference name="AltProp2Name" value=""/>
<preference name="AltProp1Name" value="Line Number"/>
<preference name="AltText3" value=""/>
<preference name="AltText2" value=" - "/>
<preference name="AltText1" value=""/>
</category>"
I don't know if it's possible to add more than 1 parameter in this line.
What do you think about ?
I received a creoview file from a customer and it is showing all dimensions, notes & datums. Is there a way to turn these off so that I don't see them?
Is it possible for creo view to translate a drawing to a different language?
Thanks,
Brock
