Does anybody have any lesson's learned or optimized settings for reliably getting Interchange Assemblies through the Windchill Publisher? We have a few assemblies with this design and it is very common to see about 50 of the 400 instances fail in the publisher after checkin. Resending them results in a successful publish. Or maybe it is just a fact that it is a large family table.
Family Table Interchange Assemblies in the Windchill Publisher...Reliable?
How to see wireframe behind activated model
Hello,
In Creo 2, when you had an activated model, you could see the lines and holes of other parts thru the activated part. I don't remember if this was only when the activated model was transparent or not, but I miss this! Now you can only see the workplanes or centerlines thru the activated part. Is there a new config setting that I am missing?
Please Help!

Model color schemes
Hello all,
is there any way (or workaround) to define various color schemes for a part or assembly model?
For example, when we are working on an assembly, we use different colors to distinguish the different components. Also, at the same time and when we have to make some rendered representations, we have to define some other colors in order to simulate reality as close as possible.
Any ideas? How can someone switch from one color scheme to the other?
Thanks in advance.

Enable Stereo Mode via API Call in Creo View Viewable
We are using a Z-Space monitor with Creo View Stereo mode to view 3D models. The problem is that stereo mode is currently only available in the default model view, and does not work with any Creo View Web API. This means that when product view is loaded from the HTML file, stereo mode can only be selected when product view is loaded in GUI mode, and the load viewable API call is unavailable.
We would like to load specific viewables in the product view window (non-gui mode), control those viewables with the API (load viewable, OnViewableLoaded, HasAnimation, StartAnimation, and StopAnimation) and to be able to toggle stereo mode via a JavaScript function (API needed).
How to add "Annotation sets" to CreoView file
Good morning,
I am wondering if anyone knows how to export or create "annotation sets" in a pvz file.
I know that simpreps and/or combined states can be included in to CreoView (*.pvz) files bycorrect settings in the rcp recipefile. These are exported as "viewables" to the CreoView file and can be selected under the tab "Viewables".
I have a PTC demo pvz file which has some kind of "Previews" to states. These can be selected under the tab "Annotation Sets" in Creo View - see attached screenshots.
>> DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO CREATE THESE ANNOTATION SETS??? In Creo Parametric, Pro/E or CreoView Lite/MCAD ???
Kind Regards and Greetings from Switzerland,
Andreas

How to get annotations displayed in Creo View's 'Viewables'
Good morning to everybody,
perhaps someone of you have a solution for this problem:
I have defined some Combined States in a Creo assembly.
Some 3D annotations are assigned to specific combined states so that every state displays only certain annotations. This works fine in Creo Parametric 2 and 3.
I want these Combined states to be available under the "Viewables" Tab in Creo View (Lite).
I am using the RCP editor to configure the output of pvs/pvz files.
And in Creo I set the config option "intf_out_pvs_recipe_file" to the rcp file.
My problem:
When I export a PVS/PVZ file from Creo 2 (M180) the combined states are available in CreoView 3 (M031) as "Viewables", BUT annotations are shown in "Master View" only. The Combined States/Viewables doesn't show any annotations.
When I use Creo 3 Parametric (M060) and the same rcp file for export to PVZ/PVS) then the notes/annotations are shown in CreoView 3 (M031). Creo 3 seems to use another option for this type of export.
My question:
Does anybody know if there is a config/rcp option for Creo 2 Parametric that ensures annotations to be displayed in CreoView Viewables? Our productive version is Croe 2 (and will be 2016), so Creo 3 isn't an option today.
Thanks in advance.

Manual dimension drawing Pro/E Wildfire 5.0
Hi all,
Good day,
I received a 3D part file from my customer and I want to generate internal 2D drawing from it.
My problem is, there is a point where the "Annotate" feature cannot automatically detect its dimension. From my understanding, this is due to that specific point in the 3D part file received (no sketch line etc).
Since I already know the dimension value, I create "R0.5" and "R1.0" using note. But how can I manually draw a proper dimension arrow in the 2D drawing? Does the "Sketch" tab work on this? Is there any better alternative for this?

Is it possible to change the colours of the parts in an assembly in Creo View Express?
Hello, everyone.
I would like to know if it is possible to change the colours of the parts in an assembly in Creo View Express.
I have some problems with visualization of the plastic injection mould in Creo View Express 2.0.
The plates that were grey in Creo Parametric become black in Creo View Express. And some of them are represented in a wireframe mode.
So it's difficult to distinguish one part from another.
You can see what I mean in the pictures below.
Thanks in advance.
Vladimir.

Creo View Enhancement Requests
Hi all,
I've a few enhancement ideas for Creo View, Here I'm listing below.
1 Creo View can't Measure the Radius/Diameters of Rounds. [Attaching an PPT]
2 Should be able to read the Cross-sections from Creo Parametric Files.
3 Should be able to read the Simplified Representations / Combined Views from Creo Parametric files.
4 Should be able to read the Views list from Creo Parametric Models.
These are the minimum requirements any Customer looks for.
Hope PTC implements the same.

Niranjan V

Viewing Model Parameters in Creo View Express
Does anyone know if model parameters can be displayed/viewed in Creo View Express?
Example: In Creo View Express view the user defined model parameter of "Supplier_Partnubmer" that is defined in the pro/e model.

Creo View printing black page
Hi Everyone,
I'm having problems with some of our stations (mostly laptops with onboard intel graphics) which are working with Creo View 2.0. The program is able to open and view models and drawings but when the user selects print the image prints as a solid black page. This is repeatable accross all printers and even print to PDF converters. Has anyone seen this before and is there a known fix?
Thanks
Dave
Creo View Markups
Greetings all.
We are upgrading to Windchill 10.2 and Creo 2.0 from Windchill 9.1 and Pro/Elements 5.0 We are wanting to use the "Mark up" funciton in Creo View to both mark up our drawings in the review process and to retain the information for later review of the design process.
I am looking for best practices, and how to understand the way that Creo View works.
How are annotations preserved when the revision changes?
Will the annotation stay with the revision it was added to, or will it transmit to the next revision?
Also, will they stay permanently or are they deleted when a Creo drawing or model is released?
Thanks in advance, James

Drawing notes and parameters
i have a parameter, NB, integer for the number of clamping bolts.
in the drawing i have a callout note on the top view that i want it to say 4x M16x30.
the problem is that i cannot make it without a space between x and the param: &NB:9 x M16x30.
if the param is a real number, i can do it like this and it works: &NB:9[.0]x M16x30 without the space.
Is there any way of doing that for an int?
i've tried the upper approach and it of course doesn't work. I've also tried to enclose it in curly brackets {&NB:9}x and it also doesn't work (it shows the brackets in the notes).
